We're delighted to announce that Professor Saman Warnakulasuriya, Professor of Oral Medicine & Experimental Oral Pathology at the King's College London Dental Institute, has provisionally agreed to present a parallel course for hygienists, DCPs and dentists at study day 2012. As well as discussing general oral medicine information he will focus on the risk factors and screening techniques for oral cancer.
We are delighted to have been able to support the Ben Walton Trust at this year's event and that they will be our nominated charity for 2012. FGDP(UK) Scotland was able to hand over a cheque for £5,000 to help raise awareness of, and fund research into, oral cancer in young people.
